It seems that the staff of UNWRA, an organization that breaks UN rules as being existing entirely for the supposed benefit of just one small community, the Palestinian refugees (though whether keeping them in refugee camps for generations is a benefit remains questionable), have gone on strike in Jordan.
The management of UNRWA, which provides basic services to more than 5 million Palestinian refugees in five areas of operations-- Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, the West Bank and Gaza Strip-- had offered a 5 percent salary hike, but the workers' committees had turned it down and insisted on action.Could be worse. At least it is not the Jordanian army that is taking action against the Palestinians.
