Support for Russian protesters

Christmas Eve is the worst possible time for demonstrations but it is different in Russia, where they keep Christmas according to the Julian calendar. So there will be people out again, demonstrating and demanding fair elections (though, really, what they need is regime change).

We, in the West, must try to support them. So, anyone in London on Saturday, who can spare an hour or so, please come to the demonstration outside the Russian Embassy at 12 or soon after. In fact, the demonstration will be in Bayswater Road as the Embassy is in Kensington Palace Gardens, which is private property. Nearest tube stations are Queensway and Notting Hill Gate and there are various buses that go along Bayswater Road.

  1. So what if its Christmas Eve? I don't think many exiled Oligarchs celebrate Christmas anyway.

  2. Adrian, may I suggest that if you have nothing to say, you say nothing. Then people might not realize just how foolish you are.

  3. Thank you for your advice Helen. I will bear it in mind. Just to warn you though there's a chance it will rain tomorrow. But I shouldn't worry, there's bound to a limo big enough for all eight of you to take shelter in.

  4. More foolishness from one of the stupidest trolls it has been my misfortune to encounter. I wonder now: are you part of a group or just independent? Because anyone who writes about Russia has come across the organized pro-Putin trolling, much of it is about as stupid as your comments above, some worse, some better. I do hope you are part of a group. At least you might get something out of making yourself look so utterly ridiculous. If not, you are even stupider than I thought.

  5. I'm not sure why you're so intolerant of people who disagree with you on this topic. In your mind they must all be working for the Kremlin. It's simply delusional. And why do you imagine me to be pro-Putin anyway? I actually have a rather positive view of the genuine anti-Putin movement which is largely nationalistic and anti-capitalist. What I don't like is when western liberals and neocons misrepresent anti-Putin sentiment as being pro-liberal and cosmopolitan. The type of pro-western neoliberal government you would like to see would be much, much worse that's for sure.

  6. Dear little troll. Have a very merry Christmas. And try to improve the shining hour by finding out a few facts about a.) economics and b.) Russia.
